Cosmetic Dentures

Denture

Cosmetic Dentures
Cosmetic denture is for you who want to have a denture that is design for best fit, appearance and comfort. A cosmetic denture is very similar to natural teeth and gum, and it is difficult to see the difference between it and your real teeth. A cosmetic denture takes ten working days to make, and it is more expensive than conventional dentures, but a cosmetic denture has longer durability, because the bone loss is considerably smaller than conventional dentures.

Different types of Dentures

Immediate Denture

Immediate denture

Sometimes damaged or loose teeth need to be extracted. An immediate denture is necessary as the denture enables the gum and surrounding tissue to heal properly and the denture also prevents bone loss after an extraction.

An immediate denture is made from acrylic and can easily be modified during the healing process. An immediate denture is usually worn for three months. After three months, a new full denture or a partial denture is made, depending on how many teeth are missing.

Partial Denture

Partial denture

A partial denture prevents your existing healthy teeth from shifting following a tooth loss.

Full Denture

Full denture

A full denture is made when all your teeth are missing. Full dentures are made from acrylic.

Cosmetic dentures supported by dental implants

To fix the denture and prevent the denture to fall out, dental implants are used. Using implants give more comfort for the user. An existing tooth or teeth can also be used to fixate the denture (overdenture). Therefore, it's always good to save as many teeth as possible than having them extracted.

Alternative to dentures

An alternative to dentures is dental bridges and implants. Both implants and dental bridges are fixed, and they don't have to be taken out for cleaning. Read about Teeth Replacements »
